The Tax Map Book map is used by mapping technicians to author tax map atlas pages and a tax map book. The Tax Map Book uses an index layer to divide the map into sections, or map sheets, and generate one page per index feature. In this case, the Tax Map Index layer was derived from the PLSS and divides each Public Land Survey Section into eight sequentially numbered map sheets.
The map document uses Data Driven Pages to produce a tax map book in a PDF format. Data Driven Pages allows you to create a series of layout pages from a single map document.
